Please tell me these things don't actually come in threes

Paul's mom died this morning.

She's been battling cancer, but it was sudden. We're all in shock. Poor Maggie --we've been having to teach her about death a hell of a lot sooner than I ever hoped to. And Will will never know his grandma.

Speaking of whom, he's crying. More later.

So sorry to hear this, Amy. I know words can't do much, but you've got my prayers for peace and comfort.

Oh, Amy, I am so so sorry. For you, your husband, your children, and your whole family. I was in a bit of shock for you, though we've never met. I know there is nothing I can say to help, but please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers.

I meant to post a comment when you mentioned the passing of your grandmother, but never did. Her age makes it so much less of a shock, but a sad loss nonetheless. I lost my own grandmother 15 years ago (at the age of 91), and I still have moments where I wish she was still around. In fact, just prior to reading the post about your grandmother, I had an unexpected show of tears about my "Nanny."

I wish you and your family peace and comfort during this time.

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear about Pual's mom. I know she has struggled with cancer for awhile. I hope you get some long-overdue rest soon.
